Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Neoday is made by LAZSOL AI PTE. LTD. (“we”), Singapore. Contact: neoday_support@lazsol.com.

2. Data stored on your devices

Neoday keeps the following data in the app’s private storage on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It is excluded from device backups, and we have no access to it:

• Audio recordings you start on Apple Watch, and the transcripts, titles, summaries, reflections, memories and to-dos made from them.
• Voice profile (optional): a short sample of your voice. Neoday uses it to label “me vs. others” in transcripts.
• Health data (optional, off by default): read-only access to heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, steps, sleep and workouts in Apple Health. Neoday never writes to Health.
• Location (optional, off by default): approximate location samples taken by Apple Watch while you record. Neoday uses them to name the places where you were. Raw location points are deleted over time, and place names may be kept.
• Reminders (optional): Neoday adds the to-dos you choose to Apple Reminders. It does not read your other reminders.
• API keys and NAS passwords you enter are stored in the iPhone Keychain on this device only. They are not synced or backed up.
• Diagnostics: short local records of sync and processing steps, such as timings, queue counts and error codes, used for troubleshooting. They contain no audio, transcripts, keys, health data or locations, and they stay on your iPhone.

Recordings travel from Apple Watch to your iPhone directly, using Apple’s Watch connectivity. Transcription runs on your iPhone with Apple Speech by default. AI summaries and chat run on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence where it is available. Search always runs on your device.

3. Third-party services you choose

Some features send data from your iPhone directly to a service you pick and configure yourself. That data never passes through us. The service’s own privacy policy applies, and it may charge you for its use.

Cloud transcription (optional)

If you set up OpenRouter, Groq or OpenAI for transcription and confirm the “Send recordings to this service?” prompt, recording audio is uploaded to that service so it can be transcribed. For OpenRouter, Neoday requests zero-data-retention routing. Nothing is uploaded until you confirm, and you can turn upload off at any time in Settings › Transcription. Changing the service or removing its key clears your earlier confirmation.

Cloud AI model (optional)

If you configure your own AI provider (for example DeepSeek, OpenAI, OpenRouter or another OpenAI-compatible service), summary and chat requests may include:

• transcript text, your questions and saved memories;
• rough place names and times.

These requests never include audio, Health data or the body labels Neoday makes from it, Health record identifiers or exact coordinates. Body labels are used only by Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. When Apple Intelligence is unavailable, Neoday does not fall back to a cloud model unless you turn that on separately.

Audio backup (optional)

If you turn on audio backup, Neoday copies your recordings from your iPhone to the place you choose: a folder in iCloud Drive, or a shared folder on a network drive (NAS) on your local network. For a NAS, Neoday asks for local network access and connects to it directly with the account you enter. Storage of those copies is governed by the provider of that location.

4. Health data

Health data is used only to add body context to your own day in the app. It is never used for advertising or data mining. It is not sold and it is not shared with any third party, including AI providers you set up yourself. It stays on your iPhone, and only on-device Apple Intelligence may read the body labels made from it. Stress estimates are not a medical assessment.

5. Recording other people

Recordings may capture other people’s voices. Let people know you are recording, and follow the laws where you live and where you record. Some places require the consent of everyone in the conversation.

6. Your choices and deletion

• Each permission (microphone, speech recognition, Health, location, reminders, local network) can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
• You can set Neoday to delete older audio automatically, remove API keys, and turn off cloud upload in Settings.
• Deleting Neoday from your iPhone and Apple Watch removes all data it stored there. Copies you exported or backed up yourself are not affected.

7. Children

Neoday is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Support emails

If you email us, including with Send feedback in the app, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply to you.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
