By default, transcription runs on your iPhone with Apple Speech, and summaries and chat run on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence. If you want a different model, connect your own provider. It talks to your iPhone directly, never through us.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
Neither. Neoday is a one-time purchase, with no account, no subscription and no credits. The launch price is $2.99, and the regular price will be $9.99. Optional cloud features use your own provider key, so that provider may charge you for its use.
Will my Apple Watch battery last all day?
It depends on your Watch model, how long you record and your settings. Neoday gives you the tools to manage it: recording schedules, a battery-saver sync mode, recording quality levels, and an automatic pause when the Watch drops below a battery level you choose (20% by default).
Can Neoday start recording on its own?
watchOS does not let apps turn on the microphone without you. When a recording window begins, Neoday reminds you to tap start. When the window ends, it stops and releases the microphone automatically.
What if my iPhone isn't nearby?
The Watch keeps recording and stores each clip locally. When your iPhone is back in range, the clips are sent and the Watch only deletes its copy after the iPhone confirms it has a complete one.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
No. Recording, transcription, playback and search work without it. Highlights, reflections and chat use Apple Intelligence on supported iPhones, or your own API key from a provider such as DeepSeek, OpenAI or OpenRouter.
Which languages can it transcribe?
On-device transcription uses Apple Speech, so it supports the languages your iPhone recognizes on device. You choose the spoken language in Settings. You can also use a cloud transcription service with your own key.
Can it tell who is speaking?
With an optional short voice sample, Neoday tries to label your voice as “me” and others as “others”. You can also label speakers by hand. It is a helpful label, not identity verification.
Is it legal to record conversations?
Laws differ by place, and some require everyone in a conversation to agree. Let people know you are recording, and follow the laws where you live and where you record.
How do I delete my data?
You can set Neoday to delete older audio automatically and remove API keys in Settings. Deleting Neoday from your iPhone and Apple Watch removes everything it stored on them. There is no server copy to delete.
